Seahawks vs Vikings
Week 11
11.22.09 - Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, Minneapolis, MN.
Opening Line : Vikings -11 Current Line : Vikings -10.5
Over/Under : 46.5 Over/Under : 46
The Vikings take on the Seachickens in a Week 11 NFL matchup tommorow afternoon in the Twin Cities. The Seahawks season has been marred by injury and inconsistencey. They have showed flashes of briliance; but overall they have played sub par football. On the other hand - the Vikings have been a model of consistency on both sides of the ball...including special teams. I can't see why this game will be any different.
The betting line opened at 11 and has since moved .5 to the Seahawks favor, and the over/under has also slid a 1/2 point down to 46. Barring turnovers; and if the game goes as planned...the Vikings should build a comfortable 10 point lead in the 1st half and then run the ball and control the clock in the 2nd half to pick up win number 9.
I don't think the Vikings defense will let Hasselback have any time to get anything going. The Seahawks ground game is atrocious; but they do have some talent in Houshmanzadeh, Branch, and Burleson at wideout. If we put pressure up front on Hasselback and if our secondary contains the wideouts...we shut them down offensively and the game goes under. If they get the pass game going..we could see a shoot out.
I'm leaning toward the Vikings covering the 10.5 and the game going under. Old Greg the Greek's stats year to date are: I am 8-4-1 on the Vikings spread and 8-5 on over/unders. 16-9-1 overall...not to shabby. Go get Stuffing and the fixins...cause the Norse plunderers are bringing home the bird and cooking it up for our Thanksgiving feast. !!
My prediction: Vikings & Under
Seahawks - 10
Vikings - 31
Disclaimer I am a die-hard Vikings fan. This in no was sways my decision when it comes to wagering. I learned a long time ago to bet with your head not your heart. There ya have it !
Go Vikings...(sound of the Alpine Horn in the background)
