Walker cut and we have only 4 WR on active roster. Hmmm....

Hate that Colt Anderson got the axe.

Go to http://bit.ly/WatchNFLOnline if you're searching for the game live on the internet. its a program that connects you to a ton of online channels. I’ve been using it to watch all the games thus far, and it works like a charm. I was up and running in a matter of minutes, and it works with pcs and Macs. How I’ve missed football this offseason.

Judd Zulgad posted this about modifications to Winter Park.

Judd Zulgad (http://twitter.com/JuddZulgad)
Just took a tour of the new studio the Vikings have built in Winter Park. They will film TV and Internet shows and also do radio from there.

I know this is a relative drop in the bucket and is not directly connected to the stadium effort, but it does continue to show Zygi Wilf's continuing efforts to improve the facilities [something Red McComb's would have never done]. I can only think that if he didn't feel the Vikings would be staying in Minnesota, he wouldn't still be pumping moneys like this for what might be considered an media luxury.

I would like to see the studio.

I really like this move. Now I hope we can trade a defensive lineman that we will probably cut for some depth on our OL.

Today looks better than yesterday!

Here's what Sidney had to say. Didn't really address the discrepancies in the prior reports but gives us some insight into his thought process in all of this.

You can read the entire thing here: http://sidneyrice18.com/blog.html

I went to training camp not at 100 percent but I started feeling better. I was running, doing some cutting drills, things like that. Last week I was a little sore after the cutting drills, but the pain was something I thought I could tolerate.

Like a week and a half ago I went back to see the doctor for another MRI and he said it showed significant changes. It was something he thought would be a serious problem if I didn’t get it taken care of right then, a problem that could shorten my career. I was feeling better, I had my full range of motion back and felt like I was ready to go, but the doctor compared the last two MRIs and said I should get it taken care of right now.

I talked to a couple of my teammates about it and our trainers and felt like it was the right move to make because I would still have an opportunity to finish the season strong and help the Vikings make a push for the Super Bowl.

Once the doc got in there and checked everything out, he said having the surgery was the best move I could have made, so I don’t regret it now. He said it could have been much worse if I would have tried to play on it during the season. He said it could have been my last year of playing football, so I know I made the right decision.

thanks guys :) I appreciate the welcome and advice. I am going to have a bit my own football team with me underneath my vikings jersey. (Saskatchewan Roughriders) They have a game same day. You can't let going to another country stop you from cheering the boys on (much like my viking experience has been up til this game on the 28th) Thanks again for the responses, and the nice welcome

As much as it sucks to be missing Harvin for any amount of time, his long term health definitely needs to come first. I applaud the Vikings for their approach to this.

I totally agree. Hopefully they can cure is issue. I have had on migraine in my life and it took me out of commission for a day... I can only imagine what he is going through.

I've seen every press conference where he has said he was done or that he thought he might be and everything else. I have never seen him the way he was in this press conference.

I suspected last year that he would give it one more go this season and be done. But it was something else to see it in his eyes and hear it in his voice. He is done after this.

Both Dennis Green (the former Vikings coach who once threatened to sue Vikings ownership for controlling interest) and Daunte Culpepper (the former Vikings quarterback who once held out of training camp because he felt he was getting screwed with his 10 yr $100 million contract) have swallowed their pride and signed with the UFL's Sacramento Mountain Lions:
http:/ fl.fanhouse.com/2010/06/07/daunte-culpepper-signs-with-ufls-sacramento-mountain-lions/

Anybody nostalgic who wants to watch the pair in action once again can do so in Vegas at the Sam Boyd Stadium on Saturday, November 6th at 11PM (Eastern Time):
http://www.ufl-football.com/schedule

Also, if anybody here wants to play with Daunte and for Denny Green, they've been holding open tryouts:

Anybody else think it's kind of strange to see Tarvaris Jackson in the NFL and Daunte Culpepper in the UFL?

And Harvin's migranes are back, Shianco has missed the last 4 practices. We've gone as far as signing Uptown Freddy Brown just to have another body to throw to.
