The Chicago Bears re-signed quarterback Rex Grossman (2/23/2008) to a one-year contract. This prevented him from entering the free agent market.

Unlike in the past, Grossman will have to compete for his job with Kyle Orton and possibly Brian Griese and another quarterback from the draft or free agency.
